Buckles-Smith Electric Gives Back at Second Harvest Food Bank

San Jose, CA – November 26th, 2014 – Last night Buckles-Smith Electric employees convened in order to serve the community with Thanksgiving in just one day’s time. The company joined forces with Second Harvest Food Bank in San Jose, California, with employees sorting and boxing 1,000 pounds of carrots in order to contribute to a hearty Thanksgiving meal for the underprivileged in the Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

Founded in 1974, Second Harvest Food Bank is a food bank that provides meals for more than a quarter million individuals on a monthly basis, making it one of the largest food banks in the country. Working with nonprofit organizations, this location of Second Harvest helps to feed the underserved of the San Francisco Bay Area, despite the wealth present in the area. Buckles-Smith appreciates the work done by the organization and hopes to continue to work with them in order to serve the community, a foundational pillar of the electrical wholesaler company.

Founded in San Jose in 1939, Buckles-Smith is the leading industrial electrical supplier in Northern California.  Buckles-Smith provides its customers with broad local inventory, next day delivery/same day pick-up, technical support, training seminars, and inventory management.
