Buckles-Smith Electric Gives Back at Family Giving Tree

Milpitas, CA – November 29th, 2016 – This holiday season Buckles-Smith Electric will once again be giving back to the community through participation in the Family Giving Tree Holiday Wish Drive. As an effort to fulfill one of the four essential pillars of the company, being integrated into the communities where we work and live, Buckles-Smith employees will be collecting gifts for underserved children in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Family Giving Tree makes the process meaningful yet simple – individuals must simply pick a child’s card with their wish on it, purchase the gift, and deliver the gift with the wish card attached. Additionally, for every gift donated by an employee, Buckles-Smith will match it with the purchase of another gift, doubling the donations to be received by the Family Giving Tree. Buckles-Smith is also offering the opportunity for employees who are unable to participate in the gift drive to get involved through wrapping and organizing the gifts prior to the final delivery date.

Since its founding in 1990, the Family Giving Tree has been able to provide gift donations for over one million children and individuals from low-income households in the Bay Area, making it the largest gift donation program in California. Thanks to individuals such as the Buckles-Smith employees, the organization is able to make the holiday season a little brighter for individuals in need.

Buckles-Smith plans on continuing its acts of kindness by participating in this program for the 2017 holiday season.

Founded in San Jose in 1939, Buckles-Smith is the leading industrial electrical wholesaler in Northern California.  Buckles-Smith provides its customers with broad local inventory, next day delivery/same day pick-up, technical support, training seminars, and inventory management.
