David Aroz
David Aroz is our Product Specialist Supervisor focused on Rockwell Automation Services. He joined the Industrial Automation industry in 1996, and the years continue to fly by! David spends most of his time with his family outside of work, running, golfing, playing soccer, or rooting for Chelsea. This year, he aims to regrow old and strengthen current friendships.
Jason Brann
Jason Brann is an Account Manager focused on Rockwell Automation and Water/Wastewater Industry products. Jason joined the industry in 1994 with Buckles-Smith. He enjoys finding solutions for his customers and seeing them succeed in their goals. Outside of work, Jason spends time with his family, golfs, and enjoys perfecting the art of making craft cocktails.
Nathan Campise
Nathan Campise is our Industrial Lighting Specialist who has been in the industry since 1999. Outside of work, he loves to hike, fish, camp, and spend time with his terrific daughter. His favorite part about working at Buckles-Smith is solving customer lighting issues, and Nathan wants to help even more people transition from traditional lighting to LEDs. A few fun facts about Nathan are that he is related to George Washington and Daniel Boone, and he can ride a unicycle.
Alex HoneyCutt
Alex Honeycutt is our Motion, PLC, and HMI Product Specialist. He joined the industry in 2014, and outside of work, he builds plastic model kits and explores 3D printing.
Jeff Mayers
Jeff Mayers is our Industrial Controls, Sensors, and Safety Component Product Specialist. Jeff joined the Industrial Automation industry in 2015 and loves presenting new opportunities to customers. Outside of the office, Jeff proudly coaches the San Ramon Valley High School Varsity Water Polo Team and wants to establish his own Youth Water Polo Club for his community in the future.
Ramil Quintos
Ramil Quintos is one of our Product Specialists who focuses on servo drives, servo motors, gearboxes, and actuators. When not solving motion control issues for customers, Ramil enjoys experiencing the world with his wife and son. He loves photography and trying new restaurants. His goal is to grow his role as a product specialist and find solutions for motion control needs.
bob schmidt
Bob Schmidt is an Allen-Bradley Product Specialist who joined the Industrial Automation industry in 2014. He focuses on Rockwell Automation Services, such as workforce support and training. Bob joined Buckles-Smith in 2017, and his favorite part of the journey is working with his tech team peers to solve critical customer issues. Outside of work, Bob spends his time golfing, listening to music, traveling, and having fun with his grandchildren, friends, and family. A fun fact about Bob is that he has worn several hats in his career, including a radio personality, a zookeeper, and a wheat farmer!
Jeremy Sherrell
Jeremy Sherrell is our Application Engineer and has been with Buckles-Smith since 2018. He supports some of the Rockwell Automation Controller, HMI, Industrial Control, Sensor, and Safety products. Jeremy was the first in his family to graduate college and spends most of his time outside of work with family. They enjoy finding collectibles at auctions and estate sales.
Alain Spalard
Alain Spalard joined the industry in 1998 and specializes in PLCs, HMIs, software, and process suites. Meeting customers and learning about their challenges and successes are Alain’s favorite parts of his Product Specialist role. He tries to spend as much time as possible with his family on his own time. He works with his son on different mechanical designs and tests them with a 3D printer.
Steve Studebaker
Steve Studebaker is an Allen-Bradley Product Specialist focusing on variable frequency drives, motor control centers, motion controls, and mechatronics. Steve started in industrial sales in 1990, with 20 years selling variable frequency drives! When he’s not answering several customer phone calls, he leads a local band named Blind to Reason. He is also an avid sports fan. Steve has traveled to multiple bowls and playoff games supporting his Oregon Ducks.
Gino Castillo
Gino Castillo is our problem-solving BMI Operations and Project Manager. He has been with the company since 2020 and values customer service. Gino enjoys being able to solve customer overload issues and looks forward to further supporting his customers. A fun fact about Gino is that he is terrified of needles.
Jon Emmert
Jon Emmert is our Information Software Business Development Manager. He is a California transplant who moved from the Midwest to San Francisco. Jon joined the industry in 1992 and revels in helping customers solve various business complications

Chris Gerbing
Chris Gerbing is our Allen-Bradley Product Specialist focused on Rockwell Automation PLCs, HMIs, software, and ethernet networking products. Chris joined the industry in 2012. His favorite part of working at Buckles-Smith is helping customers who have tricky automation problems or need to recover from a down situation. When he’s not helping customers or leading technical classes, Chris likes to hike, cook, scuba dive, travel, and grow his already vast trivia knowledge.

Ethan O'Leary
Ethan O’Leary is one of our experienced Product Specialists who joined the Industrial Automation industry in 2002.
Dan Rodgers
Dan Rodgers is our Automation Systems and Drives Specialist and recent Employee Shout Out awardee. He joined the Industrial Automation industry in 2002 and landed at Buckles-Smith in 2011. He looks forward to working with customers and helping them find or lay out specific projects.
Michael Soza
Michael Soza is our Contractual Services Specialist who has been with Buckles-Smith since 2020. He enjoys building relationships with customers and learning how companies use Buckles-Smith services and equipment. One of his goals is not to have the supply-chain control customer relationships but instead build relationships based on honesty and support. In his spare time, Mike likes to explore new breweries, wineries or go golfing. He is more than happy to join anyone for 9-18 holes or even 36!
Robert Werkman
Robert Werkman is the Vice President of Automation at Buckles-Smith, owns our relationship with Rockwell Automation, and oversees the Technical Specialist team. He has been in the Industrial Automation Industry since 1998 and joined Buckles-Smith in 2000. He enjoys working with his team and believes they are "Best in Class" due to their extensive knowledge. Robert also teaches Automation classes in the School of Engineering at San Jose State University. After work, Robert spends his time traveling, learning the guitar, and hiking. In 2018, he was able to reach the top of Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the continental U.S., and back in just 16 hours.
