FactoryTalk Network Manager software provides increased visibility and insight into the performance of your network within context of your automation system. It allows you to view the network topology, monitor the health of your network and manage switch-level alarms for improved decision-making and reduced downtime.

Part 1 will teach you how to configure and use FTNM features to increase network visibility:
• Device access profiles and discovery profiles
• Device inventory, end device view and managed switch view
• Network topology discovery
• Backplane bridging
• Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) overlay view
• Device Level Ring (DLR) overlay view

Part 2 will explore monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities of FTNM:
• Alarm categories and configuration
• Alarm overview, details and historical information
• Managed switch view for detailed diagnostic

Part 3 will introduce you to the configuration and maintenance capabilities of FTNM:
• Configuration backup, compare and restore
• Managing switch software images
• Role-based access and audit trail
• FTNM database backup
